SHORT BIO: Eleni Gazi

A graphic artist by profession, Eleni Gazi has worked in illustrations and advertisements in the newspaper “Kathimerini” and various magazines as well as children’s books, for more than 20 years. She created a children’s magazine,
“ TO RODI”, in 1979. A milestone in her carrier was the foundation of the N.G.O. ELIX in 1987, for the promotion of the ideal of volunteering, as a means for the personal development of people from all over the world, thus promoting active citizenship and participation in projects with the goal of protecting the environment, preserving the Greek cultural heritage and ensuring social cohesion. Eleni Gazi has been President as well as CEO for ELIX for 35years, organizing hundreds of projects in many areas of Greece, involving people from many countries and backgrounds.
