Beyond Borders: Building More Inclusive Spaces for Young People
“Beyond Borders” was an Erasmus+ Youth Workers Training Course that took place in São João do Estoril, Portugal, from 7 to 14 December 2025.

Hosted at Impact Beach House and organised by ImpacTrip, the project brought together youth workers, educators, and practitioners committed to fostering inclusion in increasingly diverse communities.

Imagine Heritage is excited to share one of the key outcomes of this project: the “Beyond Borders” Digital Toolkit 📘

Designed for youth workers, educators, facilitators, and community practitioners, this resource supports the creation of inclusive, participatory, and safe learning environments, especially in multicultural contexts.
The toolkit gathers activities that were tested, refined, and systematised during the training, offering practical methodologies in a structured and adaptable format.

✔️ Increasing awareness of cultural diversity and barriers to integration
✔️ Supporting the development of innovative and practical inclusion strategies
✔️ Providing a sustainable resource for continued use in educational and community settings

Each activity is clearly structured to support implementation across schools, youth centres, NGOs, and community initiatives, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to different realities and group needs.

🤝 The project brought together participants and partner organisations from Portugal, France, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece, Egypt, and Estonia, and was facilitated by Mostafa Ahmed and Efsevia Ioannidou. The toolkit reflects the collective contribution, learning, and energy of everyone involved.

At a time when communities are becoming increasingly diverse, meaningful inclusion requires more than good intentions — it requires intentional approaches and practical tools.

The “Beyond Borders” Toolkit is now available to be used, adapted, and brought into practice by professionals working with young people.
