A New Chapter Begins: Humanitas Reloaded

We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking new initiative: Humanitas Reloaded, a global project born from the inspiring synergy between Imagine Heritage and ISI Florence.

A Global Call to Revitalize Humanism from the Heart of Florence

Florence, a city synonymous with the Renaissance, home to towering figures of art, philosophy, and science, now rises once again to respond to the challenges of our time. Imagine Heritage (an Athens-based European non-profit organization) has decided to collaborate with The International Studies Institute of Florence ISI Florence to launch “Humanitas Reloaded”, a strategic initiative to reimagine and reactivate the humanistic spirit for the 21st century.

Rooted in Florence’s unmatched cultural and educational legacy, “Humanitas Reloaded” seeks to transform this heritage into a living engine for global progress. In an era marked by digital disruption, ethical uncertainty, and the urgent need for interdisciplinary approaches, this project proposes a new humanities-driven model for cultural innovation, inclusive education, and social economy.

Humanitas Reloaded is not only a global research initiative, but also a citizens’ movement. Scholars, artists, educators, students, entrepreneurs, and engaged citizens from all over the world are invited to join a collaborative platform that will explore and promote the following areas:

A new humanism for the digital age, rooted in ethical thinking and cultural intelligence.

Cross-disciplinary research programs and public dialogues on education, sustainability, and the social good.

Citizen-led innovation projects inspired by the values of dignity, justice, creativity, and community.

Florence as a living laboratory for cultural diplomacy, civic imagination, and global cooperation.

Relying on official support from several key Florentine institutions, “Humanitas Reloaded” will bring together and promote international forums, pilot projects, educational tourism, artistic residences, as well as community-based experiments. Starting in Florence, they will then expand on a worldwide level.

We invite the world to Florence, not just to admire its past, but to help shape a future where human dignity, cultural depth, and collective intelligence once again guide progress.
