Gender in Literature / «ΤΟ ΦΥΛΟ ΣΤΗ ΛΟΓΟΤΕΧΝΙΑ»

We are thrilled to share the highlights of our 2nd Seminar, that took place on Saturday the 14th, titled:
“Issues of Literariness: From Classical to Contemporary Works.”

This engaging discussion offered thought-provoking insights into:

  • Examples drawn from our readings.
  • Male and female writing styles throughout history.
  • Women writing under male pseudonyms to get published.
  • The literary canon (literature and literariness).
  • Contemporary debates and demands concerning the literary canon.
  • Motherhood after the Industrial Revolution and its impact on literature.
  • Gender identity (sex/gender), feminist theory, and literature.

The seminar was free of charge, and the dynamic participation of our attendees made it an inspiring and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Stay tuned for more enriching events at Imagine Heritage as we continue to explore the intersections of literature, history, and culture.
